Diya, 3rd year Student Electrical and Computer Engineering (Co-op)

The combination of research, co-op, and student leadership at the University of Windsor has played a key role in preparing me for a successful engineering career. Through my work with CHARGE, the Centre for Hybrid Automotive Research and Green Energy, I developed a strong foundation in electric vehicle technologies. Working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, I’ve been deeply involved in cutting-edge EV development and testing alongside industry partners and faculty experts.

Robyn, Alumni Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Option

Being a part of the co-op program empowered me to feel confident when entering the workforce after graduating. Having a well-rounded resume and interview skills that I developed while in undergrad gave me a step in the door to a career. I also gained a valuable network which is the reason I am currently employed at a company that I was a former co-op student at in my fourth year.

Charandeep, Alumni Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Option

The program was well-structured, offering a mix of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience through labs and projects. One of the highlights was the opportunity to participate in the University of Windsor's Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) team. This experience allowed me to apply classroom concepts to real-world challenges, such as designing and building a race car from the ground up. It was a fantastic way to develop skills in teamwork, project management, and problem-solving.
