Land Acknowledgment

The University of Windsor sits on the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, which includes the Ojibwa, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. As we make this land acknowledgment, it is also important that we continue to do the work to address systemic and historic injustices.

As outlined in the strategic priority section Advancing the Journey toward Truth and Reconciliation, a consultative process is currently underway to develop a new Land Acknowledgment for the University.
